Turner Extension

"Turner Extension" is a two storey addition designed to reflect the character of the existing cottage in a new modern form; to create a dialogue between old and new.

The brief called for the addition of a new master bedroom, ensuite, walk-in-robe, as well as redesigning the existing bathroom, laundry and kitchen. Private spaces are located upstairs, with family spaces below which open onto the courtyard creating a large living and entertaining area.

The strong axial link defined by the central passageway and changing levels both internally and externally, seamlessly link old and new, providing a strong sense of focus and direction giving depth to the space.
